My Story
My Scentsy story... I have been using Scentsy for close to a decade now but had never considered being a consultant. I have 30+ years in retail and retail management.
In 2015 I had a fall down a flight of stairs and suffered many injuries. I tried to go back to my management position but after pushing through the pain for 7 months I finally decided to listen to my Dr after another stay in the hospital and left my full-time job.
My husband has a home improvement company and I tried to work with him for awhile. Well you can all guess how working with him turned out.
In January and February of 2020 I ended up hospitalized again and then went into rehab to learn how to do everyday things without causing more damage. I felt like I was heading in the right direction as far as my health goes. I had so much positivity and then Covid hit us.
So here I was stuck at home with nowhere to go but feeling energized and hopeful about my health. I needed something but I didn't know what.
So here comes the Scentsy part. I went searching for a discontinued warmer for a birthday present. I reached out to my friends for an independent consultant. This is how I connected with my sponsor. She was actually able to find the warmer I was looking for from one of our teamies.
As I was sitting home one day, stuck in my head, the thought crossed my mind to make a change and I reached out to, at that time, my consultant and said "Let's do this!"
So here I am in my 2nd year and every day I wish I had done this sooner. I have gained a wonderful support system and troop of cheerleaders, I've promoted 5 times and am now an Independent Director with Scentsy. I even earned a trip to Disney World. I have learned so much about the products that I was already in love with and now love them even more.
I now have something that is MINE! I am a small business owner! I am my own boss!
